    Contemporary Research QIP-SDI HDMI IPTV Overview

    The Contemporary Research Dual-Program QIP-SDI HDMI & 3G-SDI IPTV Encoder with Universal Rackmount takes video sources and converts the signal to MPEG-2 or H.264 and can be output as a single MPTS or two SPST Multicast or Unicast IPTV stream. One HDMI and one 3G-SDI input supports source video up to 1080p. Two additional composite inputs support encoding, captioning, and EAS use.

    Web set up, monitoring, and firmware updates are available through the USB and Ethernet ports. NTSC and PAL video sources are also supported. It’s 1 RU form factor allows for easy installation with the included rackmount and power supply.

    Contemporary Research ICC1-232 Overview

    The Contemporary Research ICC1-232 Display Controller provides access to power control, channel tuning, volume control, and local control lockout via RS-232, receiving iCC-Net network commands over the same broadband coax that carries the CATV channels. This compact unit is designed for use with flat panel displays that are equipped with a built-in tuner. It features discrete power control and intelligent tuning from a channel list stored in the onboard database. Tuning options include analog and HDTV format channels, as well as AV inputs.

    High-speed one-way control is possible through the same RF cable that carries the TV channels, creating networked operation of distributed media systems without adding control wiring. Compatible with the Contemporary Research SignStream, iC-Web, and iC Commander software, the controller can be networked with up to 4,000 displays. For custom systems applications, this RS-232 controller and other CR display controllers can be accessed from a single RS-232 or Telnet port on an ICE-HE Ethernet Head End (available separately). It is suitable for applications that include signage and video distribution for schools, retail stores, sports venues, corporate buildings, civic facilities, places of worship, entertainment spaces, and corporate communication

    The Contemporary Research ICC1-IRX IR TV Controller provides one-way control over power, volume, and NTSC/HDTV channel tuning on your IR format TVs, LCDs, and Plasma displays. It receives iCC-Net network commands over the same broadband coax that carries the CATV channels. This compact unit can be networked with up to 4,000 displays using the Contemporary Research head end units.

    The ICC1-IRX IR TV controller features power current sensing using the Xantech CSM1 sensor (not included). It is suitable for applications that include signage and video distribution for schools, colleges, sports venues, corporates, places of worship, and entertainment spaces.

    Contemporary Research 5119-001 Overview

    Add an HDTV tuner boasting integrated display control to your distributed CATV system with Display Express or third-party TV control with the ICC1-TC Tuner/Controller from Contemporary Research. This full-function HDTV tuner can receive ATSC and NTSC off-air channels as well as clear QAM and NTSC cable channels. It decodes MPEG-2 and H.264 digital channels with selectable resolutions up to 2160p and gives you an option to follow native resolution as well. The 3.5mm TRS audio output provides variable level mono, stereo, or SAP while simultaneously sending AC-3 or PCM via its always-active HDMI out.

    Employing ICC-Net technology, the unit communicates with displays via existing CATV coax wiring for 1-way control and uses RS-232 for display control, with make and model types that are selectable from an onboard library. Housed in a low-profile, steel enclosure, the ICC1-TC is designed with built-in mounting wings to facilitate keeping the unit flush to your wall or display.
