  Contemporary Research IP-DXL Overview

  Connect televisions and display devices in your AV control system to the Contemporary Research IP-DXL Display Control Center with Universal Rackmount to amplify your live event setup with UDP. The embedded Display Express Lite software allows for command communication of up to 128 televisions as well as functions such as power, volume, and channel selection from up to 32 sources.

  The IP-DXL can also communicate with individual displays, groups, zones, or all displays using the separately available Display Express software or third-party control systems. Further control for the ICE-HE-DXL can be achieved with the front display and buttons, or through the Ethernet connection, RS-232, or mini-USB inputs. It’s 1 RU form factor allows for easy installation with the included rackmount and power supply.

  Decode digital video and audio for compatibility with television displays with the Contemporary Research IP-SDI 4i IPTV Decoder with Universal Rackmount for increased efficiency for your viewing setup. The IP-SDI 4i decodes MPEG-2 and H.264 video with internal scaling from 480i to 1080p resolution. A 3G-SDI and a HDMI output operate simultaneously.

  The IP-SDI 4i is compatible with unicast or multicast UDP and RTP IP streams with control over the front-panel buttons, handheld IR remote, onboard web GUI, or external control. The free CR Toolbox software allows you to manage the channel list for the device. A universal rackmount and power supply are included for easy installation.

  Contemporary Research QCA9-33 Overview

  The Contemporary Research QCA9-33 is an active RF combiner that includes eight high-level inputs and one low-level input, combining with high isolation as well as amplifying up to a 33 dBmV output level. Designed for QMOD HDTV applications, the eight RF inputs typically receive 29 dBmV RF from QMOD HDTV modulators. The ninth input is for up to 19 dBmV RF signals, such as incoming cable feed, a control channel from an ICE-HE Head End control modulator, or any other QMOD or QCA9-33. Up to eight QCA9-33 combiners can feed a single combiner to deliver up to 76 channels. The low-noise, wideband 860 MHz amplifier compensates for combining losses and adds 3 dBmV of gain, typically supplying a total output of up to 33 dBmV. This compact unit mounts in a single rack space using CR RK1 and RK-2 rack kits (available separately), and can be mixed with QMOD HDTV modulators using the same rack kits.

  The QCP8 Passive Combiner from Contemporary Research is a passive VHF/UHF RF combiner designed for CATV head-end applications. With eight RF inputs and a single RF output, the QCP8 combines multiple RF sources, such as 45 dB out QMOD HDTV modulators and IPTV encoders, with a low 11 dB net loss. It comes with a universal rackmount kit, and vents on each side of the aluminum enclosure allow you to mount the unit side by side with actively cooled QMOD encoder/modulators and the half-rack width provides ample room for a shared rack unit with another 1 RU device.

  Decode digital video and audio for compatibility with television displays with the Contemporary Research QIP-DVX IPTV Decoder/Controller for increased efficiency for your viewing setup. The QIP-DVX is a MPEG-TS video decoder with an integrated display controller that accepts MPEG-2 or H.264 encoded UDP and RTP transport streams up to 1080p60. An HDMI output scales video from 480i to 2160p resolutions.

  Using the front-panel controls, web page, external control system, or a separately available IR remote, the user can select channels, adjust the volume, and turn the device’s power on and off. The QIP-DVX can also be integrated and controlled with an IP based ICC-Net system. There is an onboard control database of RS-232 protocols and IR libraries for compatibility with many common displays and video projectors. The free CR Toolbox software allows you to manage the channel list for the device.

  The Contemporary Research QIP-YPB2 IPTV Encoder is a dual-channel encoder that creates MPEG-2 or H.264 streams from video resolutions up to 1080p. Audio comes through the embedded S/PDIF or analog stereo inputs and is encoded into AC-3, MP12, or AAC formats. Two composite inputs and two component inputs accept up to 1080p video including 60/30 Hz and PAL format and deliver programs at scaled 1080i, 720p 576i, 480p and 480i output resolutions.

  Update firmware through the mini-USB on the front panel or the Ethernet port on the rear of the encoder. The onboard webpage allows for setup and monitoring of sources. It’s 1 RU form factor allows for easy installation with the included rackmount and power supply.
